Feed-in tariff - Rates in detail
The maximum supported size of system is differentiated according to the date of registration in the System Register:
- Systems prior to 29.09.2008:
371 MW; - Systems post-29.09.2008:
The capacity limits are re-defined during the review of the application conditions every quarter (Art. 5 RD 1578/2008, Appendix III RD 1578/2008).
The level of payment is regulated by a fixed feed-in tariff, which also differs according to the date of registration of the photovoltaic system in the System Register.
- System prior to 29.09.2008:
for 28 years: 24.8138 – 47.5597 cents/kWh (according to the size of the system) from the 29th year (only systems >10 and ≤50 MW): 19.8510 cents/kWh. - Systems post- 29.09.2008:
for 25 years: 13.4585 – 28.8821 cents/kWh (according to the size of the system and location) (Art. 12 RD 1578/2008 in conjunction with the website of the Ministry for Industry, Tourism and Trade).
Note the following cap on the feed-in tariff:
- Systems prior to 29.09.2008:
371 MW for photovoltaic systems. - Systems post-29.09.2008:
The capacity limits are re-defined during the review of the application conditions every quarter (Art. 5 RD 1578/2008, Appendix III RD 1578/2008).
Feed-in tariffs are paid for the actual operating period of the system. Payment starts on the date of commissioning of the system. The operating period is regulated as follows for photovoltaic systems:
- Systems prior to 29.09.2008:
30 years - Systems post-29.09.2008:
25 years (Art.1 RD 1578/2007). The feed-in tariff is subject to adjustments during the operation time (Art. 44 RD 661/2007, Art. 12 RD 1578/2008).
