Subsidies II & III, Loans

Subsidy II - ECO-ENERGY PROGRAMME (Part of the "Enterprise and Innovation" Operational Programme)

The "ECO-ENERGY" programme, part of the "Enterprise and Innovation" Operational Programme, gives entrepreneurs the opportunity to apply for investment grants or low-interest loans to tender for projects in the field of renewable energy and is funded by the ERDF (European Regional Development Fund).

The ERDF is a European Union fund that provides financial resources to its member states for country-specific programmes aiding under-developed regions. A project cannot receive both forms of funding (subsidy/loan) (Clause 5 of the ECO-ENERGY Programme). Further public funding can be claimed for eligible project costs from the ECO-ENERGY Programme, but only up to a defined upper limit (Clause 7 ECO-ENERGY Programme). At the moment there are no requests for tender under the "Enterprise and Innovation Operational Programme - ECO-ENERGY Programme.

Subsidy III ("Environment" Operational Programme)

The "Environment" Operational Programme allocates investment grants from the Cohesion Fund to individual projects (up to € 50 million) and large projects (over € 50 million) in the field of renewable energy (Art. 2, Clause 5 of the Ministry of the Environment Directive No. 4/2010).

The Cohesion Fund is a European Union fund which provides financial resources to its members states for country-specific programmes aiding under-developed regions. Applicants cannot receive funding from other Operational Programmes, European Community initiatives or national programmes of the Fund for the same project (Art. 3 Clause 4 of the Ministry of the Environment Directive No. 4/2010). The subsidy should not exceed 20% of the total project costs and is limited to a maximum of 50 million CZK (approx. € 2 million).

This applies only to building-integrated PV systems (roof-top or façade panels).
