On April 14th of this year, Gehrlicher Solar AG began construction of the ground-mounted photovoltaic power plant at Rothenburg (Upper Lusatia) Airfield.

Rothenburg (Upper Lusatia) / Dornach b. Munich, April 23rd, 2009. With the groundbreaking cermony by Görlitz District Administrator Bernd Lange, Rothenburg Mayor Heike Böhm and chairman of the supervisory board of Gehrlicher Solar AG, Johannes Strasser, the construction start of the solar park at Rothenburg (Upper Lusatia) Airfield now has an official character. On April 14th, employees of Gehrlicher Solar AG already began with building work. Currently, steel posts are being pile-driven into the earth, onto which the substructure for the solar modules will be installed.
