In the current 2009 version of the EEG, the compensation for solar systems is newly regulated. All operators of solar power plants up to a capacity of 30 kWp are compensated at 43.01 cents (2009) per kilowatt-hour for 20 years. In addition, there are low-interest loans from the federal government. These are given out by the KfW Banking Group through local banks.
