Official Inauguration of Six Megawatt Haag Solar Park near Gutenstetten
Hamburg-based Conetwork Erneuerbare Energien Holding (CEE) and Gehrlicher Solar AG have officially inaugurated their first joint project in Gutenstetten, Franconia.
Gutenstetten, 31 May 2010. Haag Solar Park was inaugurated on 30 May this year in the presence of the First Mayor of the commune of Gutenstetten in Middle Franconia. This photovoltaic plant, with a peak output of six megawatts, is the largest plant in the administrative district Neustadt a. d. Aisch-Bad Windsheim. During the Open Day, the inhabitants of the commune of Gutenstetten were able to inform themselves of the advantages of solar power generation.
Gehrlicher Solar AG and the Hamburg-based Conetwork Erneuerbare Energien Holding (CEE) started operation of Haag Solar Park on 16 December 2009. In only three months, Gehrlicher constructed the plant with a peak output of approximately six megawatts on an area of almost twenty hectares of arable land. The power output expected amounts to 5,500,000 kilowatt hours of electricity (kWh) per year. Approximately 5,500 persons will now be supplied with electricity generated in an environmentally friendly manner. The yearly CO2 savings amounts tons 3,850 tons. Almost 80,000 First Solar modules and 5 inverters from market-leader SMA Solar Technology were used in the construction.
