- Most successful energy company in "Europe’s 500" Ranking 2011. Gehrlicher Solar achieved 21st place for the fastest growing European companies in respect of turnover and number of employees.
- Deloitte honoured Gehrlicher Solar with the "Axia Award" for excellent innovation culture. Gehrlicher Solar prevailed against around 70 Bavarian contenders.
- At the Intersolar 2010 in Munich, Gehrlicher Solar AG was honoured with the "Intersolar Award" for their development of the assembly robot.
- In 2009, 2010 and 2011 Gehrlicher Solar AG was honoured with the prestigious award "Technology Fast 50", which was awarded by the auditing and consulting company Deloitte.
- In 2008 and 2010 Gehrlicher Solar AG received the award "Bavaria's Best 50" from the Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs Emilia Mueller. The company was assessed and honoured by the accounting company Ernst & Young as one of the fastest growing companies in Bavaria.
- In Ottobrunn Gehrlicher Umweltschonende Energiesysteme GmbH planned and installed the PV in-roof construction of a passive house which was awarded the German Solar Prize 2004.
- Near Coburg, Gehrlicher Umweltschonende Energiesysteme GmbH implemented a 1,200 m² roof of a warehouse as an in-roof solar power system. This innovative in-roof power system received an award from the Bavarian Chamber of Architects in 2002 in the competition "Electricity from solar façades".
- In 2000 the building of the law firm Jockisch in Landshut, a tower glazed all round, was equipped with a Shadow photovoltaic system. In the competition "Innovative gebäudeintegrierte Solarstromanlagen in Bayern (innovative building-integrated solar power systems in Bavaria)" the chambers of the law firm was awarded by the Bavarian Chamber of Architects in November 2000.
- As the first large solar fund in Europe, Gehrlicher Umweltschonende Energiesysteme GmbH & Co. Solarpark 2000 KG was awarded the environmental prize Energy 1999 by the city of Munich.
