BAYERNS BEST 50 AWARD for Gehrlicher Solar AG
Bavarian photovoltaics specialists Gehrlicher Solar AG have received the BAYERN'S BEST 50 AWARD for the second time. The renowned prize is awarded to small and medium-sized businesses by the Bavarian Ministry for Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology who have displayed above-average growth in terms of turnover and employee numbers.
Dornach near Munich, 25 June 2010. Gehrlicher Solar AG has won this year's renowned BAYERN'S BEST 50 AWARD for the second time, recognising its position as a fast-expanding and dynamic company. The selection procedure is undertaken every year by auditors Ernst & Young, based on the Birch Index, whereby companies are evaluated based on above-average growth in terms of turnover and numbers of employees.
This year's award presentation, which took place on 22 June within the framework of a ceremony hosted by Martin Zeil (FDP), the Bavarian Minister of State for Economic Affairs, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology and juror Ralf Broschulat (Ernst & Young) was marked by the latest economic crisis: "This award has special importance, particularly given the challenges of 2009. Many small and medium-sized companies have been extremely successful in tackling this tough economic environment. They have consistently sought opportunities in both national and international markets."
